FOS PICKLEBALL CLUB

If you’re asking for a fun sport to play, the answer is pickleball!

Club Information

Pickleball is similar to tennis, except it is played on a smaller court with two to four players who use oversized ping pong-like paddles and a perforated plastic ball. If you have never played the game before, the FOS Pickleball Club (FOSPC) can get you started with lessons (seasonally), and the FOS Pickleball League can help you meet other pickleball enthusiasts to play with throughout the week.

The FOSPC uses Pickle Planner for individuals to become a member of the club and for reserving court times. Skill Levels are used to achieve challenging and fun games. In Pickle Planner, skill levels are called Tier Levels. If needed, check out the FOSPC information on Skill Levels on our club website at fospc.com. Our current skill levels are: 2.0 Beginner, 2.5 Beginner/Intermediate, 3.0 Intermediate, 3.25 Intermediate +, and 3.5+ Intermediate/Advanced. To play on the pickleball courts in Fountain of the Sun, you will need to comply with the mandate that “Green Zone paddles are the only paddles approved for use on the Fountain of the Sun pickleball courts.”

Registration and Membership

Membership dues for the FOSPC are $50. Drop off at the FOSPC Drop Box by Court #1. Note: registration is NOT complete until the $50 payment is received.

To register, reserve courts, and become a member, go to the FOSPC Pickle Planner website at Pickle Planner and create an account. Our club Pickle Planner is for FOS Owners/Renters.

Events & Fundraisers

Every year the Pickleball Club hosts a Dinner Dance Fundraiser in February – Keep a lookout for ticket sales (offered first to club members) at the FOSA Office. In conjunction with FOS Weekend of Fun, the Pickleball Club hosts a member-only Pickleball Tournament raising money for our community. This event usually takes place the end of February or beginning of March. At the end of the season Party at the Net is held at the end of March.

Meetings

The Pickleball Club typically meets the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 6pm in the Poolside Room during the months November – March.

Yes, Quiet Paddles are required!
